The 2021-22 round of Green Adelaide’s Water Sustainability Grants is now open. Applications close at 5pm on 28 January 2022.
A total of $550,000 is up for grabs for individuals, community groups, businesses, schools and councils to deliver projects that help protect and better manage our water resources across metropolitan Adelaide.
The primary objective of the grants is to provide funding and technical support to delivery partners, for a range of multiple-benefit on-ground and non-works projects, to build understanding, skills, assets and commitments to better manage water, within an integrated water management framework. The outcomes of supported projects will contribute directly, in the medium-term, and in the long-term, to the better management of water-related impacts on land, watercourses and coastal and marine environments, and the improved resilience of communities.
The grant agreements are offered on a multi-year basis to allow successful recipients to exercise better alignment of grant funds with project milestones.
The grants are open to both on-ground projects and projects that do not have an on-ground construction/planting component (“non-works” projects). Projects will be within the Green Adelaide region, or, for projects spanning more than one landscape region, will use the Water Sustainability Grants contribution in the Green Adelaide Region.
